Nordell Design/Build is a full service company based in Sarnia, Ontario. Specializing in new home construction, interior and exterior renovation, kitchen/bath remodeling, certified construction design, sustainable cabinets & countertops, and barrier free design for Sarnia and area. No project is too small or too large. With a team of registered qualified builders, designers, and managers Nordell Design/Build creates innovative spaces for everyday function and living. Each floor plan and project is custom designed to fulfill each individual client need. We are also committed to protecting the environment and practice sustainable design and building methods. Our projects are up to 30% more effecient!

Build a Foundation

At Nordell Design/Build we believe that the strongest foundation for any project is built on four principles: Passion, Purpose, Function and Form. Your home and workplace functions are unique and therefore their spaces must be strategically designed and constructed to meet each and every one of these individual needs.

Design a Plan

Every project from small to large requires two key elements to be successful: the right team and the right plan.

We create the right team with our customer’s by partnering: active and successful customer interaction, attention to detail, knowledge and the highest quality workmanship and materials.

The right plan is developed from realistic and efficient strategies that maximize the use of time and budget. Once we have created a plan we inform our customer’s to ensure that every detail is understood.

Support Your Project

Our team includes builders, certified designers and project managers who combine years of experience drawn from residential to large projects with familiar house hold names such as: Lululemon, Sears Canada and Flight Centre.

The team that we have developed is what allows us to boast about our reputation. We have a diverse group with knowledge in sustainable/green products and building practices, and barrier free and universal design.

President's message

When I was a child, I would climb up into my fathers work truck to tag along with him to one of his construction job sites, or to visit our guard dog at the shop, Fritzy. My two favourite things.  The truck and the job site always had the exact same smell.  A smell that to me, symbolized dedication, hard work, determination, and family.  I suppose it is no wonder why today I can honestly say that I love this business, and is probably why I am also so involved with our local humane society. My two favourite passions.

Getting into the building and construction industry has been my dream sine the day a family friend gave me a toy excavator with the Nordell Excavating logo on it, and underneath it reads – and daughter.

For me, there is no greater satisfaction then to help people create, plan, and build their dream home or space that functions solely for their needs, which in turn improves their quality of life.
In this business, not only do I get to enjoy the smell of the job site, the construction side of things, but I get to use my creative skills and my passion of helping others.

NDB has enjoyed success on different levels and hope that we have and will continue to revolutionize the way new homes and renovations are designed and built around our customers.  
Creating custom spaces that maximize occupant safety, functionality, and have less impact on our environment is my ultimate goal.  Living in a functional, healthy space can change the way people live.

History

Nordell Design | Build was founded by Cassandra Nordell & Patrick MacLean in 2006. It is the latest addition to a long line of successful family business. Preceeded by William Nordell Excavating, Nordell Excavating, NDL Developments, Howard Interiors, Jeffery Fuels, & Ashlar Performance Group.
